A reader recently made the helpful suggestion that I list my stories and links on my blog.
Quick question: Do I?
Edited to say: Thanks everyone. This was so helpful.
I did have links on my blog. In two places. Kudos to Amanda and possibly Sam who spotted them. (They were on the side (now removed) and under the header). I wanted to know if readers could see them, and clearly they couldn't. So that was a blog fail on my part.
So, I've tidied up the bar under the header, and renamed it My Science Fiction Stories instead of Science Fiction. etc.
Edited again: Now I've changed it yet again, to Free Online Stories and Bibliography
YES, Definitely. I love clicking through links to read stories by my favorite writers. And I also love rereading them, but I often find it hard to find the original post that featured the link. A list would be tremendously helpful.
ReplyDeleteI would vote for it. When I discover a new writer I usually try to mainline everything they've written (that I can access easily). And I think bibliographies are helpful for everyone!
ReplyDeleteI'd say the top two anyway, Debs.... that's what I do on my subs ........now quick link to a freebee and maybe another to a cover if you got a cover story some where.... like this: http://mixerpublishing.com/?p=3384 and http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DR11UI0
ReplyDeleteUm, yes. The easier you make things for your reader, the more your reader will love you. =)
ReplyDeleteYes. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou do, under their genres under the Pages menu underneath this post that pops up overtop of it for some reason. Blogspot is doing you no favors. Jump ship to Wordpress and then put all the links on the same page!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! You should have your writing easily available for those who wish to peruse it.
ReplyDeleteYes, in agreement with the above, and you have such good stuff to share.
ReplyDeleteSorry, late to the party, but yes!
