I've just sold a reprint tweet to the new twitterzine, Confettifall. I haven't written any microstories for ages. But the sale has got be back in the tiny groove.
Do you write tweets for sale? What are the good venues, nowadays?
To be honest, I never even knew such a thing existed? This is the thing people do on Twitter, correct? When are you moving? Got things already sorted and set up?
Way to go, Deborah! The paying markets for tweet-sized tales are few and far between. I was supposed to get a whole dollar from Nanoism way back when, but that never happened. Most of the Twitter venues don't pay at all, but it's a good way to get your name out to a new audience.

Yes, we're all cosy in our new house. And after a week I'm back online and working again. Thanks for asking, Mark.
DeleteOoh, must update my Twitter market list - I hadn't heard of them. Thanks and congrats.
ReplyDeleteWriting in such a condensed form is indeed a skill.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know tweets could be sold!
ReplyDeleteI think of them like haiku, Patsy. Extremely small stories. I think the twitterzines have been around almost as long as twitter.
DeleteSelling tweets .... what is the world coming to? hehe. Just kidding, I think it's cute that tweets can be bought & sold!
ReplyDeleteI've just got to work out a way of selling FB and blogger posts, and I'll be all set.
