Prose inspiring visual art and visual art, and visual art inspiring prose. I've contributed two stories to this exhibition. This will be the first time my stories appear in a gallery.
I absolutely love where you are going with your writing, Deborah. It just makes me all the more proud to actually have you as a blog friend, and in some ways, a role model to look up to (metaphorically speaking of course - I bet you're the size of a hobbit ;) ).
Still waiting on the day you get a book published and I can get my grubby little paws on a first edition, autographed copy :)
I agree with Patsy, a great image and great copy can blow minds, this I especially know from graphic design. It's one of the reasons why I never understand aspiring authors getting such shite book covers done for their hard work?
Personally, if I were to get anything published, e-book or otherwise, I'd design the cover myself.
Very well done, Deborah, so pleased for you - all your hard work is paying off so it would seem :)
Btw, love how your blog looks now and love, love, love the font - so clean and crisp.
How exciting! Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteArtwork can work well as a story prompt. It's fun doing it in a group and seeing the wide range of ideas which can come from a single image or object.

That's pretty awesome. I like the idea of the circle of inspiration. It's like a paradox of good ideas.
ReplyDeleteWicked awesome! I wonder why there isn't more gallery work like this. For me words are all about the visual. (Hugs)Indigo
ReplyDeleteVery cool! Will you be attending/snapping photos to share with us?
ReplyDeleteSuper congrats, Deb! How cool is that-
