Speed of Love

Hello to the people popping in from Daily Science Fiction. My story, 'Speed of Love' was sent to subscribers' e-mails this morning.

It's set in Avebury. Which is an amazing stone circle in Wiltshire. Those stones are big. About double debs sized. Hope you enjoyed the story.

    1. Hi, Tracyann. Thank you, so much. It means a lot to a writer to get nice comments like this.

My stories often reflect my visits around the UK. And there seem to have been a lot of strange happenings in Derbyshire, where I grew up

  4. The stones -- you have me curious. Are they natural formations or ruins? Going to Google it now :)

    1. I think you'll have your answer by now, Trisha. But they're ruins, neolithic standing stones. Monuments to our ancient past surviving thousands of years.

      I love 'em.

  6. That was a really beautiful story, Deborah. I always like how well you combine sci-fi elements with present day living. Congrats on the publication - it is another one of my favorites.
And I would love, love, love to see those standing stones -

    1. Thanks, honey. I hope you get to come over to the UK to see them one day. They're amazing. So understated, and yet so profound in the context of them being remnants of an ancient civilisation we know so little about.

  7. Finally read it. Wonderful. Seven dragons. "Five minutes later, he squeezed her hand." - what a line!

    1. oh. Did you like it, Simon? Good. Although I am so shy and retiring that I'm always surprised when people like my stuff.
