This is an anthology of the first year's stories
from Daily Science Fiction, and what a monster it is. With more
than 425,000 words. I've got a story in here, and so have some of you.
Give me a shout out if you have, because I'd like to re-read your story.
Daily Science Fiction will send a fantasy or science fiction story to your e-mail every week day for free , and is open to story submissions.
I am in it! I confess I didn't know you were. When I get my copy I'll look for your story.
ReplyDeleteI should say 'thanks' to DSF, because they took a story of mine when I wasn't making any sales anywhere, and they kept me going. Now I've got a number of sales under my belt, and am starting to feel I can actually do this writing thing (although every time I sit down to start a new story I'm convinced that all the previous ones were flukes and I've no idea how to do it again). If it weren't for them, I might have given up.
I didn't realise you were in it, either, Colum. What fun.
ReplyDeleteI think DSF have bolstered many writing careers. They're great.
I am! Must buy my copy. And, yep, DSF is a wonderful venue.
ReplyDeleteYay! Simon! Hurry up and get your copy, it's great fun re/reading all the stories from people you know.
DeleteWow that's a big un! Congrats on being included.
ReplyDeleteThank you, m'dear.
DeleteThat's a huge book. Congrats on your story!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Michael. Yes, it is huge. But surprisingly manageable.
DeleteNice, Deborah! I don't think I made it into this one -- maybe "Tomorrow's Dawn" will be included in the next volume?
ReplyDeleteThen we'll be TOC buddies again, Milo.
DeleteCongrats on being in the anthology.
ReplyDeleteThank ye kindly, sir.
DeleteSaw your name on the Arc/Tomorrow Project website and KNEW I had seen it somewhere before.
ReplyDeleteWell done, BTW (on both pieces). I'm also a 1st-year DSF author, "A Theory of Sixth-Sense Aesthetics."
Cheers.

Ciro, I have achieved name recognition. This makes me unreasonably happy. Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your story, A Theory of Sixth-Sense Aesthetics very much.
