NewMyths.com is celebrating it's four year anniversary with a book giveaway. The first 30 plus people to blog or mention this giveaway on Facebook will win a Fantasy or SF book.
NewMyths.com is a great venue for fantasy and science fiction stories, poems and non-fiction, check out the guidelines
here. I'd recommend Nancy Fulda's article, 'A Practical Guide to the Proper Positioning of Space Stations'. You can find it by using the search engine on the site. And while you're searching you might want to look at a poem published by yours truly (search under my name, or Threshold).
The latest issue has an interview with M.O Muriel, the first winner of both the Writers of the Future and the Illustrators of the Future competitions. And congratulations to Scott T.Barnes who has just placed second in the Writers of the Future fourth quarter competition.
Happy Birthday NewMyths.com and here's to many more.
edited to add: And I've won:
Unplugged: the Web's Best Sci-Fi & Fantasy. Thanks Scott and Nu.
They are a great market. I really must submit there some more - they've resisted me so far ...
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to think if I could write some non-Fiction for them, too. There's some great stuff on there.
DeleteSounds interesting! Ha, the Practical Guide to the Proper Positioning of Space Stations. Nice. Congrats to you for having a poem there!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carol. That's a great article by Nancy. She really knows her stuff.
DeleteCongrats on the win! They've passed over PLENTY of my work (many after short-listing), but I shan't ever hold it against them. I just need to sub something better, I guess.
ReplyDeleteShortlisting means that you're on the right track. Just keep plugging away, and you'll get there, Milo.
DeleteCongrats on publishing with them! They sound like a great sci-fi place to submit to. Going to have to bookmark them.
ReplyDeleteThey are great, Lydia. You should check them out.
DeleteThanks for passing this along! They sound like a good publication; congratulations on getting your poem published with them.

Hi Shannon. They are a quality venue.
DeleteGreat poem, Debs!
ReplyDeleteAnd the space station article is great. I might make use of that one day :)
Hey, Linda. Thanks for the read, and yes, Nancy's article is very useful.
DeleteNeat, I never heard of this before, thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Mark.
DeleteCongratulations on the publication. I enjoyed reading your poem! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the link to the article on space stations.
Thanks for the read, Eagle.
DeleteOh no! Late again for a give away - must try harder to keep up with blog posts.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, Patsy. I took half a week off and had 350 posts waiting for me. Yikes.
DeleteI always seem to be late on these things! Hey Deborah, I'm just stopping by to say I left a blog award for you over on my site:)
ReplyDeleteAh, thanks Gwen.
DeleteThanks for the tip. I suppose I'll be looking into markets more closely given my new commitment to writing short stories.
ReplyDeleteGo for it, Rusty. I'm looking forward to your first W1S1 triumph.
