Got my contributor's copy of The Ladies and Gentlemen of Horror anthology this morning. It's always fun to get oversees mail. It good to see many of my writer friends in it, and I'm looking forward to reading it.
And I got my Snow White poem, 'Remember Winter' accepted by Enchanted Convesation. The next call is for Cinderella poems and stories, and it opens in a month. Get crackin'.
Issue Three: "Cinderella" theme, submission window opens at 12 a.m., EST, June 27, and closes at 11:59 p.m., June 30.
Wow, congrats! I've written a few poems but I wouldn't dream of calling myself a poet because I'm sure I couldn't do it consistently. I've only been able to pen them with Divine intervention! :o(
ReplyDeleteNice one! I have to hand it to you. Poems are a beast for me to write, unless it's a little poem within a novel, or something like it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! There's nothing more surreal than seeing your name in print, is there?
ReplyDeleteWow you must be excited. Nothing beats the feeling of seeing your own name in print. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteoh, congratulations! Nice work! :)
ReplyDeleteBig congrats, Debs!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone,
ReplyDeleteI agree there's nothing like seeing your name in print. On a related note I subbed something under a pen name the other day, more or less on whim. Now if that gets published it will be strange.
DU, I never thought of myself as a poet, until I started subbing and getting published. Treat yourself to a few cheeky submissions.
Debs
Hooray for Snow White poetry / EC acceptances!
ReplyDeleteCan you post a link to the Ladies and Gentlemen of Horror Anthology? Google isn't coming through for me right now.
Yay! Is the snow white poem up yet?
ReplyDeleteHi guys, I can't see Ladies and Gents of Horror up on Amazon, Elizabeth, strange. If they turn up, I'll let you know.
