SF Authors as Future Sayers



I'm in SF Signal's Mind Meld today, along with other writers talking about which SF stories and novels got it right or wrong.

I chose 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep' by Philip K. Dick which was published in 1968, and is set in 1992. How the future does fly.

    Sounds fascinating; I shall head over for a read. One of the few films that I preferred to the book, that one...

    Mighty fine article, Deborah. I too preferred the movie to the book. Reading The Last Policeman now, a near-future noir tale. Needs replicants.

    I'd like to re-watch the TV programmes I saw as a kid which told us about the gadgets and equipment they thought we'd be using in the future and see how right they were.
